Angelina Jolie's estranged dad, actor Jon Voight, is heading back to television. The actor, who had a prolific career in the 1970s with key roles in Midnight Cowboy and Deliverance, has joined the cast of 24 as a villain. Voight will play the nemesis of the show's central character, Jack Bauer, played for seven seasons by Kiefer Sutherland.
Voight will first appear on the show in the November series prequel, which is currently shooting in South Africa. Oscar winner Voight last appeared on television in the 1960s with a three episode run on the legendary Gunsmoke.
