Brit "It" Girl Sienna Miller is in talks to star as the legendary Maid Marion in the forthcoming Nottingham. Russell Crowe is already committed to star as the Sheriff of Nottingham and Ridley Scott will direct.

This particular take on the Robin Hood legend presents the Sheriff of Nottingham as a more sympathetic character. He's more noble, while Robin Hood is portrayed in a darker light and as less of a hero. In traditional tellings of the story, Maid Marion is Robin Hood's love interest, whom he rescues from the dastardly King John. No word on how this film will reimagine the Marion character, but she will be embroiled in a love triangle between the Sheriff and Hood.

In other Miller news, the actress/fashion designer has a plum role as The Baroness in the upcoming live-action G.I. Joe.
