All Music Guide Review

This is the first single off the largely undiscovered debut album from Gas Giants, which was the Robin Wilson-led spin off from Gin Blossoms. The band's first song that went to radio was "Quitter," which should have been a hit. Dropped in the Universal merger, Gin Blossoms broke up and signed with Atomic Pop. When their new label went out of business, the band was unsigned once again and remains a free agent. The Quitter single was released by Atomic Pop and by Wilson's Uranus Laboratories label and has an acoustic version of the title track in addition to the album version. The real highlight of the disc is a sublime cover of Kirsty Maccoll's "They Don't Know," which was a hit for Tracey Ullman. This is one of the finest rare gems in the Gin Blossom, Robin Wilson catalog. ~ JT Griffith, All Music Guide
