    Distributed in Europe, the Kuschelrock series is often uneven in its attempts to throw pop hits of all stripes together in one package, taking little consideration into the fact that most people don't have wildly diverse taste in music. The fourth volume is one of the series' most cohesive sets, including 36 tracks that concentrate on the rock end of the mid- to late '80s. With rare exception, every inclusion is a ballad -- the type of thing that you would likely hear on middle-of-the-road FM stations in the States. Included: Richard Marx's "Right Here Waiting," Genesis' "In Too Deep," Spandau Ballet's "True," and REO Speedwagon's "Keep on Loving You." ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
