This double-CD live set finds Poi Dog incarnating what should be pop music anthems into a living beauty of delicacy ("Angelika Suspended"), joyous dance ("Everybody's Trying") and more. Each selection is a mood defined. Disc two shows the current state of the band documented in the studio on Electrique Plummagram, seduced making a bedfellow of electronica. They do it very well, and include plenty of live instrumentation. The songwriting of Frank Orrall comes through strong as synthesized possibilities are kept as another balanced spice in the Poi Dog stew. You may detect a little hesitation on my part as regards their new direction. Well, that certainly is there, but they have not let me down, either. ~ Thomas Schulte, All Music Guide
