Icos' second album At the Speed of Life may be too ambitious for its own good. It's not just a concept album -- it's a concept album about life and the group tries to to give it the epic sweep of life itself, loading it with big rock ideas like a full string section. It's admirable that Icos have gone the distance, especially in an age where rockers often settle for the predictable, but they often can't quite pull off their ideas.
