This three-disc reggae budget set is all over the map stylistically, but it has enough interesting tracks to make it a pleasing mix in the player. It features several Lee "Scratch" Perry-produced Bob Marley cuts ("Kaya," "African Herbsman," "Sun Is Shining") as well as one by Scratch himself, the brilliantly odd "Return of the Super Ape," and standout sides from Freddie McGregor ("Walls of Jericho"), the Mighty Diamonds ("People Are Crying"), Jimmy Riley ("Sweets for My Sweet"), and Sugar Minott ("Fisher Man"). The cover is island generic and there is no annotation, but the music is just enough of an oddball mix to make it worth risking a couple of bucks. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
