Jon Batiste is an American musician, bandleader, composer, and television personality celebrated for his wide-ranging musical style and vibrant performances. Born in Metairie, Louisiana, in 1986 and raised in a musical family in Kenner, he developed a deep connection to jazz, gospel, R&B, and classical traditions from an early age.

Batiste gained national recognition as the bandleader of Stay Human (band) on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where his energetic presence and genre-blending performances introduced him to a broad audience.
