On Sunday, July 9, 2026, the Florence Chamber of Commerce will host a Music in the Park concert featuring Michael Prusinsky, the saxophonist and vocalist from the Little Suamico‑based group Safe Sax. The show will take place at The Gazebo on 749 Central Ave. in Florence from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating.

Prusinsky’s set will showcase a mix of saxophone and vocal pieces drawn from his extensive repertoire. Food will be supplied by the mobile vendor Mama’s Mangia Mobile, adding a casual, community‑style atmosphere to the evening. If rain or other inclement weather occurs, the concert is scheduled for a rain‑date on Thursday, July 16.

The Music in the Park series is a long‑running, free‑to‑attend summer concert program that takes place in several parks across Florence County. Organized by the Florence Chamber of Commerce, the series typically features local musicians, food trucks, and community activities.

In addition to Prusinsky’s performance, the Chamber’s July 9 lineup includes several other community events. On the same day, the Out to Lunch event will run from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on the Downtown Stage in Iron Mountain, featuring the local blues group Kind of Blues, with food and beverage trucks from Millie’s Market and 906 Pop Culture.

That evening, the Music in the Park program will also host Kind of Blues on the Downtown Stage in Norway from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and a set by Katelyn Whitens of Hermansville on the Sandstone Terrace in Iron Mountain from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Chamber’s July 16 schedule mirrors the July 9 lineup in several respects. The duo Kaleidoscope Jos, from Eagle River, will perform on the Downtown Stage in Norway from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and again on the same stage from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Food trucks for the July 16 events will include LaCatrina and 906 Pop Culture.

Other venues across the county will host a variety of music and entertainment throughout the week. The Iron Mountain venue Sandstone Terrace will feature a DJ named Curio on Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and the band Finding Feathers (formerly the Seth Brown Duo) will perform on Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Chain of the Spread Eagle, a classic rock group from the Chain of Lakes area, will play at the Big 10 Sports Bar & Grill in Quinnec on Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.

Additional events include acoustic and folk performances at venues such as Pine Grove in Iron Mountain, The Chippewa Club, and the Red Arrow Tavern in Felch. On Saturday, the Moose Head Bar and Restaurant in Norway will host Finding Feathers again, while the Alpha Brewing Co. in Alpha will feature a country‑acoustic set by Melanie Rose on Friday.

The Chamber’s event calendar also lists several community‑focused gatherings, such as the Sunday fundraiser at the Chain of the Spread Eagle, which includes a $5 cover charge that goes entirely to the Moving Mountains Adaptive Program.

The July 9 Music in the Park concert offers residents and visitors a relaxed outdoor setting to experience local music. The event’s weather‑reschedule policy ensures that attendees can still enjoy the performance on July 16 if necessary.
